The bug described in the summary is fixed in 0.6.0-8. The problem of not
being able to write anything is not, since I don't have sufficient info
to reproduce it.

Are you able to burn anything if you start gnomebaker with "sudo gnomebaker"?
Are you able to burn anything using wodim directly, with or without sudo?

The bug leading to the message you sent has been fixed in revision
0.6.0-8 (in Debian, not yet in the Ubuntu repositories). Although I
don't believe it is the reason for your burning failing. If possible,
please try 0.6.0-8 and let us know if it still fails to burn your data
into your discs.
