CMI8738 is not well-supported by alsa.
Running with a center channel volume issue (center volume constant,
whatever the master volume).
I found out that master volume worked only for front/rear channel, not
center which stick to its initial value.
Pulseaudio volume for separate channel are not e
[Expired for alsa-utils (Ubuntu) because there has been no activity for
60 days.]

I used the speaker-test utility to check out my config (which is based
on the alsa soundcard wiki entry for cmipci and the mythtv wiki).
