This bug is still persistent in 2.6.20-16.31 and observed by many user,
so I set it to confirmed. Needless to say, that sound has been perfectly
functional on my IBM thinkpad 42p under SuSE Linux including
suspend/resume...

after suspend-resume, a clena reboot does not help to solve the problem.
