Yes, the change from using IDE hard drives as hdX to sdX is a planned
change due to changes in the way the kernel communicates with IDE
devices. Now that the Final version of Feisty Fawn is out are you still
having an issue with this?

No it is not.
However now (since no longer than a couple of days) my internal hdd shows up as
sda instead of hdc and the 770 gets sdb. fstab is not updated but everything
works anyway, is this a planned change? I wouldn't have noticed if you had not
pointed it out.

Windows.

better. What does lsusb return when your device is connected? My 770
was succesfully automounted and lsusb returns "Bus 004 Device 004: ID
0421:0431 Nokia Mobile Phones". Thanks in advance.
