For what little it's worth, I haven't experienced this crash again, but after a bumpy period I stopped running concurrent X sessions. X stability has been much nicer in general, though, since the time when I reported this, during a period when several releases were described as Merge from

When you say you had two different user sessions each on a different vt, were you running two instances of X.org, or do you mean you had a vt console login and were toggling between that and your X session? I can see from the log file that the GPU lockup directly occurred after a vt switch
