Version 0.2.10 has the patch that corrects the issue. I think the
easiest way to fix the problem is to backport Exaile from
I now use the development svn branch. If anyone needs the mmkeys to work in
Exaile they either need to ask for this to be backported from gutsy or apply

Multimedia keys are great and it's annoying not having them in Feisty since
they were working perfectly in Dapper :(

The fix for Exaile to use multimedia keys has been committed on svn
revision r2255 and works great for me. It would be nice if Ubuntu
upgrades this package to the latest version in svn.
