The easy and quick fix is to swap the tooltip-fg and tooltip-bg colors.
The tooltips then have dark background and are not ideally distinguishable from
the rest of the UI, but at least they're readable :)

That's fixed in quantal already, I just checked. I opened a task for
precise, Simon, please close it if the fix would be too big for a Stable
Release Update. ;-)

That's a theme issue (with our Greybird-lightdm hack in precise). I
can't test on quantal right now to check if it's been fixed.
