This also affects me on MULTIPLE Precise servers with ubuntu-desktop
metapackage installed. Except that as far as I can tell, apport never
does get sufficient elevations - as many times as I feed it a password,
it just asks me for it again. I'd assumed that something was broken,
like maybe it was
