Hi, the bug is affecting all the gtk apps even in ubuntu 13.04.

I have the same problem with all the pygtk apps that I created. When
started in terminal, they all diplay this at the bottom:
GtkWarning: IA__gdk_error_trap_pop: assertion `gdk_error_traps != NULL'
failed
They seem to be working ok otherwise but not fully tested yet.

When I open Thunderbird without the sudo command, the following is
displayed when downloading mail. My user account has full administration
rights. There is more than 160 GB of disk space available. My keyrings
are unlocked right after booting up.

Firefox. Thunderbird and Firefox are joined at the hip in many ways.

It also appears to be having a strange effect on Firefox. I can't submit
a bug report or open a link from Thunderbird while Firefox is running,
and every time I restart Firefox it 'loses' my cookies on sites,
including this one.
