Unable to fill in password when creating a new exchange-account

Binary package hint: evolution
In Ubuntu Feisty (upgraded from edgy) when I add a new e-mail account to
evolution, fill in personal data, choose Exchange, I am able to enter
the server and username, but when I choose 'Authenticate', the cursor is
not blinking
