As it seemed quite strange that I had gone so backwards in the kernels and suspension still did not work, I tried to change my PC's power supply, with another power supply and with this other power supply my PC suspends correctly. If I put back on the original power supply the problem comes back

Sorry in the dmesg file I have to hash matches entries: [0.994801] bdi 1:14: hash matches [0.994813] tty ttyS16: hash matches but they are not in the same format as indicated in the DebuggingKernelSuspend page. So I'm not quite sure if the culprit of my problem is in these lines. --

Christopher, sorry I was not very clear. On my PC I had kernels going back to 3.2.0-17, but with all of these kernels, 3.2.0-17 included, suspension does not work. So I was not able to find a kernel with a working suspension. If you think it's necessary I will install and test the older kernels
