Kristian is right. The bug was fixed in 0.6.0-8 which was uploaded to
Debian after the feisty freeze and has not made it into the Ubuntu
repositories yet.

The current packages are compiled without large file support and thus
fail when stating such large file. The attached patch fixes the building
of the package so it will have large file support. I'm including it in
the 0.6.0-8 revision of the package I'll be uploading to Debian soon/
