I finally got Ubuntu installed on my Mac Mini by using the vanilla ISO
(i.e. not the one with the suffix -Mac). Everything is running as
expected in the latest version, and I haven't seen this bug reappear,
although I also haven't reinstalled Ubuntu from scratch on this machine.

any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development

When this is a separete drive (with separate wire) you could just do an
installation without this one. -> Just for helping out for the evening.
