Public bug reported: I have a 'RamBo' 128 MB usb memory stick. It mounts fine on Windows XP, but will not mount when plugged into Ubuntu Feisty.
The Stick uses an M-Systems chipset and is apparently a two-in-one stick containing both a 1.44MB floppy drive and a 128MB FAT32 drive. Since my internal hard drive is sda, ubuntu attempt to mount the stick as sdb, and sdc. The stick is detected according to /var/log/messages but something the goes haywire, and error messages continue to be spit out until reboot: something along these lines, repeating forever: $ tail -f /var/log/messages Apr 12 19:45:40 zd7000 kernel: [33955.804000] sdg: Write Protect is off Apr 12 19:45:40 zd7000 kernel: [33955.804000] sdb: Write Protect is off Apr 12 19:45:40 zd7000 kernel: [33955.808000] sdg : READ CAPACITY failed.
