I have recently performed a distribution upgrade from Lubuntu 12.04 to
Lubuntu 12.10 on my IBM ThinkPad 600E. The upgrade seemed to complete
ok, but since then colours are not displayed correctly for anything for
all my Lubuntu sessions.

As the computer boots up, the colours show correctly at first. Even the
Lubuntu startup splash shows correctly with blue-tinted black
background, blue logo and white word 'lubuntu' with 5 horizontally
arranged white dots turning blue from left to right. But then, the
screen goes dark/blank for a while, and when it comes back to a log-in
screen, the whole screen has a greenish tint with bright-green Lubuntu
logo. When I log in, everything shows up with strange colours. What's
supposed to be blue is green. What's supposed to be red is blue. What's
supposed to be green is red.

When I log in to a LXDE session, the problem is the same.

I thought of attaching a screenshot, but it won't show the problem.
Though it shows the problem on ThinkPad 600E, it shows all the correct
colours on another computer. So, if I attach it, then you won't see the
problem I am describing.

Based on what I've seen, I am making my best guess that this problem
belongs to something in the display manager, but I am not entirely sure.
I just hope that someone who knows can identify the problem and fix it.

Thank you.
