i too am having the exact same problem as Mladen Trisc (without the power failure), and nothing i do ever seems to solve it! i spent hours on the net in forums and what not and nothing solved my problem. I also had the same problem when i was using 8.10 and i was not able to solve the problem then

i got same bug... i had power crash while installing some packages,,, now when i cant install any progs now with add and remove or with synaptic package manager, it shows error: E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _cache->open() failed
