This issue seems more of a setting than a bug in the way firefox works.
I dont think this should be against on kdebase either but will let kde
guys/gals close it.

If you have this problem you only need to go to tools, options. Next to
Enable JavaScript, there should be an Advanced button. Tick all the
boxes. It should work now.

I am running 7.10 and when I try to use the filemgr in webmin I get the
error loading applet message. The error does not occur from netscape on
a windows machine.

I know what GUI stands for, but not well enough to know what counts as a
GUI browser. :D I've got Firefox on my Xubuntu computer, and it accesses
that site and loads the applet just fine. For clarification, it's the

OK i foun dout it works on epiphany-browser just fine but fails on
firefox and konqueror. I added task for konqueror since it seems that it
is a browser issue

Thank you for your bug report. Im going to look into this more today and
see what is going on. If you have another GUI browser like konqueror or
epiphany, galeon please test with those as well. I will be testing them

I have the same problem. I don't know how to give you output from Java,
but I think the Firefox java plugin version is 1.0. I can, however, tell
you how to reproduce the problem.
1. Log onto Ubuntu Feisty Fawn.
2. Open Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.3
3. In the address bar, type "www.runescape.com".

I had the same problem with Java when I tried to play RuneScape as well.
I don't know what the output would be except for what the original post
had in quotes ("Error loading applet"). The link for the game is
