As you describe this issue is a small one caused by an unusual set of actions. It could indeed be in gnome or GTK somewhere but I'll assign it to update-manager as the most likely candidate for now until we see if anyone can reproduce it. Just to check, are you running the most recent version of U

Opps my mistake, It should indeed be the update manager. I am using the Gnome Version of Ubuntu. As to weather or not it still does this im not sure. There are no updates to test it with at the moment. It is only a minor bug, it only happens if you change the theme whilst updateing, now how many p
