Stéphane: ah, I was trying to click the through and that works now (the
original description says it doesn't). Trying again, I can see that
clicking above the through also moves the slider, but clicking below
doesn't. Is that what you're referring to?

Exact same problem is still reproducible in 13.04 up to date (I upgraded
recently from 12.10).

Slider click only works slightly above
Same problem here, on 12.10 up to date.
It seems it's the whole clickable zone that shifted upwards. Not only the the
bar, but also the slider: clicking the lower tip doesn't let us drag it,
whereas we can click above it to slide it.
