shinyblue, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If

Reproducibility can be variable.
As noted, I only really note it following a reboot and normally, this is
only because of apt update to a kernel.
I don't think we have narrowed down specifics on how to reproduce beyond
it occurring on boot, for my output to be declarable as reliable.
That said,

add a comment on here giving the bug number - NFS will probably be a
separate bug, but CIFS is what we have here ; we need to see whether
it's really the same or just similar.
Now; everyone who has reported this bug, lets see
Few days ago I started installing company computers with 12.04 and came
across this problem. Machines were so unstable where user profiles are
on network NFS and CIFS drives, I had to rollback to 10.04. Is there any
known workaround?
