Marty's workaround in post #6 did not work for me until I figured that I
also had to untick the relevant options in Nemo's configuration. It
seems that Gnome might be relying on Nautilus and its configuratio

Use K3b then you can ignore the warnings or "OK" them away & proceed with
the operation of the K3b Disc Burner. However, I agree with you that a fix

1. Ignoring the warning/error message is IMPOSSIBLE. In brasero, the
"Burn" button is grayed-out. In k3b, the "Start" button is grayed-out.
Not possible to burn a dvd.

Same problem, when I insert a blank CD or DVD, I get that warning about
it already being mounted. But, I can burn CD's or DVD's successfully,
while ignoring it.

I noticed this issue as well. Simply inserting any blank media (CD or
DVD) causes the error message. Fresh, updated 12.10 install.
