On my laptop with intel ivybridge graphics, the sound indicator has ugly
- graphical artifacts on the playback controls. I can reproduce it every
- time I click the play/pause button. My other laptop with ironlake
+ graphical artifacts on the playback controls. This
I've now seen this a few more times, can ONLY be fixed after a total
reboot, logging out/in doesn't even work.

I recently switched over from 12.10 to 12.04 LTS and experience the
exact same issue there. seemingly at random this happens and is only
fixed by a full reboot.
