Thanks Jeff and Joseph, I don't have a good explanation yet but I'm no longer able to reproduce the issue. @Joseph, thanks I will open a new bug if I come across it again. Linux x201 3.5.0-19-generic #30-Ubuntu SMP Tue Nov 13 17:48:01 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux -- You received

Hi, I'm having the same issue with 12.10 on a Thinkpad x201. In my case it's the same behaviour when on AC or battery or if I suspend or close the lid. Just tried with 3.7.0-030700rc7-generic #201211252135 SMP Mon Nov 26 02:35:53 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux and have its the same as

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.7 kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages. If this bug is fixed in the

Did you have this issue in Precise, or is it new to Quantal. If this is a regression, we can perform a bisect to identify the commit that introduced the bug. It may be a little time consuming if it takes several cycles to reproduce the bug. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided

This is new as of Quantal for me. Additionally, after some playing around I am almost certain that this ONLY occurs on lid close/open actions and ONLY when plugged in. When I'm on battery, the machine seems to suspend/resume on lid actions properly. When I'm on mains, I can suspend/resume via

I should add that the machine will probably barf after XX S3 cycles, I just don't know what XX is, and it's probably a higher number than I'd normally care to hit with normal usage. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu.
