Regarding the models, when they came out in 2006 there were a number of
people with different models in the V7900 series without sound. pshou
from Realtek provided a patch which appeared to work for all the models.
I will send Takashi Iwai a short note to alert him of the issue.

but the pin fix from line out (misc=no_presence) to a hp with detection
and this change enabled the unsolicited event and create the
seem this beep is also missing in the input source control
