Public bug reported: When opening a 7zip file in Archive Manager without a package to handle 7zip files, it suggests downloading and installing the p7zip package. This is great! The problem is that if you go to open a password- protected 7zip file, it simply gets an error, and does not suggest downloading the p7zip-full package to remedy this.
Distro: Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit Package Version: file-roller 3.6.1.1-0ubuntu1 Expected Functionality: Archive Manager suggests downloading p7zip-full in a similar fashion to how it suggested downloading p7zip Actual Functionality: Archive Manager just displays that there is an error with the file. Additional details: p7zip displays an error message "E_NOTIMPL" when trying to decompress a password-protected file through the terminal. ** Affects: file-roller (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1078519 Title: Archive manager does not suggest a package for password protected 7zip files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/1078519/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
