Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
Feisty crash whenever I try to configure my Linksys WPC54G Ver.2 802.11G PC Card via network-manager. The Num Lock and Caps Lock LEDs flash in sync and Feisty would become unresponsive. I find a report on the forum from a user with a similar card Ver. 1.2: "I use a Linksys WPC54G v1.2 PC Card to wirelessly connect to my router. I've searched the forum for other difficulties with this card, but my problem seems to be unique. Here are the symptoms: I can boot into Ubuntu without problems. The card's power indicator lights, but not link. However, if I attempt to modify the wireless connection preferences, the computer goes into a hard lock upon clicking "OK." Neither the keyboard nor the mouse respond and the only option is to forcibly shut down (by holding the power button)." at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=329129 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo lspci -nnvv ... 06:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Texas Instruments ACX 111 54Mbps Wireless Interface [104c:9066] Subsystem: Linksys WPC54G Ver.2 802.11G PC Card [1737:0033] Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- Latency: 64 Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 11 Region 0: Memory at 2c020000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=8K] Region 1: Memory at 2c000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=128K] Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2 Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1+ D2+ AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0+,D1+,D2+,D3hot+,D3cold-) Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a Linux host 2.6.20-14-generic #2 SMP Mon Apr 2 20:37:49 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- WPC54G wireless card crashes Feisty https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107864 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
