Public bug reported:

Hi,

I will like to report that Creative Labs 1 GB USB 2.0 flash memory storage
stick does not get recognized as a file system device by VIA Technologies
Apollo MVP3 chipset's USB.
What I mean by this is, if I plug this USB 2.0 flash memory storage stick and
run lsusb, I will see the USB device in question recognized by lsusb, but the
file system does not automatically mount it.
USB keyboards and mice work fine with the VT82C586B (Apollo MVP3 chipset's
Southbridge).

System Configuration:

- Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS 32-bit
  * Linux 2.6.32-45-generic
- FIC VA-503+ mainboard
  * BIOS Version JE439 (I believe this is the last release version.)
  * VIA Technologies Apollo MVP3 chipset (VT82C598MVP Northbridge and VT82C586B
Southbridge)
  * AGP running at 1X Mode to prevent freezes during bootup with VisionTek RIVA
TNT2 64 graphics card
- AMD K6-2
  * 450 MHz
  * 100 MHz FSB
- 512 MB PC100 SDRAM
  * 256 MB PC100 SDRAM DIMM X 2
  * Passes Memtest86+ v4.00 test in flying colors
- VisionTek RIVA TNT2 64 graphics card
  * NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 64
  * 16 MB SDRAM
  * Universal (1.5V/3.3V) AGP card
- Gateway EV700 CRT monitor
- Intel 100 Mbps PCI Ethernet card
- Creative Labs 1 GB USB 2.0 flash memory storage stick
- Maxtor (Quantum) 6L020J1 20 GB PATA hard drive
- Sony Optiarc AD-7201A PATA DVD-RW drive
- AT keyboard
- PS/2 mouse
