I followed the instructions that provided a solution to the effects of the
problem:
1. Reinstalled U7.04
2. webcam is OK
3. sudo modprobe dvb_core
4. sudo modprobe cx88_dvb

I have a very similar problem with my DVB-T card from Hauppauge (Nova-T model
928). It work perfectly under edgy, but not singel frame under feisty.
The card is found by the kernel (dmesg), but no dvb driver are loaded and of
course no dvb folder is registered under /dev/dvb.
A workaround is l
I have tried to compile gspca and spca5xx for my webcam Genius GF112 and
either works... i doesn¡t work. I thinkk there is a problem with
modules, groups... because my video inputs don't work in Feisty

I knew it, but i cannot get it working through modprobe cx88-dvb or
adding it to modules. I think, i have to compile dvb by myself

this needs to be fixed, the problem is that the kernel modules don't
load properly, you have to do "sudo modprobe cx88-dvb" to get kaffeine
to work with it, then install heaps of codecs to get it to play
channels. (But in dapper or edgy how come we didn't have to do this? or
install the codecs?)
