It happened to me also. I've tested my keyboard is functioning (Israeli
keyboard), by entering text both in Hebrew and in English.

I founded this bug in bad motherboard, but i don't know. I not sure, this is
really bug, becouse the bad devices can make lots of interesting things.

I had this bug with Ubuntu 7.04 DVD after installing on HD.
Like Lacy, my motherboard was found to be defective so I gave up on
installing Ubuntu on that machine.
