Trying lubuntu-13.04-20121203 AMD64 Desktop, when I select 'Install Now', I get
a corrupted screen, which is trying to show the 'live' desktop with menu bar

This seems to be the same bug as Bug #1086036. Although this one was
filed a bit earlier, I'd like to persist the other one as we've done
some more debugging on that one.

This occurs when you boot directly into the installer, instead of
loading the ubuntu desktop, then clicking 'install now' to load the
installer.
