Public bug reported: I have here an older notebook still in use. It is not capable to work with a non-pae kernel (Intel Pentium M processor). I would like to use the same configuration as for the other 15 computer in my small organization. Due to the missing pae kernel I have to stuck the the 3.2 kernel for this one notebook :-/
Citation from https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/q-lts- backport: > The official hardware enablement stack will be officially released as part of the 12.04.2 update. So a non-pae kernel should become available soon ;-) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: linux-image-3.2.0-33-generic 3.2.0-33.52 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-33.52-generic 3.2.31 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-33-generic i686 AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24.
