Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools
/dev/nvram is now owned by group "kmem," which does not appear in the list in the gnome tool to configure users and groups. I had to manually add myself to the kmem group so I could use the thinkpad buttons utility (tpb). nvram seems like a basic device that users will need access to, and one of the options in User Privileges should trigger this group. ** Affects: gnome-system-tools (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- no gui to add user to group kmem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/109076 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
