I imported the image provided by Lukáš in digikam 0.9.2-2ubuntu2 (Gutsy One).
The image is autorotated correctly.

Are you running gutsy? I have prepared test packages for gutsy, with
some bug fixes from 0.9.3 beta version and this include fix for auto
rotation. Could you test this packages when they build in my PPA:
