Title:
Font corruption in Chromium tab bar
It's a bug internal to the GPU - the challenge is to workaround it in an
acceptable manner.

I can still see the corruption on my Dell Latitude D630 with the reddit
test on latest raring (Mesa 9.0.2, intel 2.21.3). Although, bug
#1098489 is still open anyway and has the same upstream bug linked.

Still an issue with 2:2.20.18-0ubuntu1. It does seem to occur less often
though.

Confirmed on GMA X3000 (Latitude D630), so I can also test possible
fixes on that machine. Chromium maximized, an empty tab and another tab
with reddit.com. Moving mouse on and off top of the reddit.com tab shows
little white dots in place of black regardless of whether it's the
active tab or not.
Not confirming on Zenbook, although just upgraded to the 3.8 and removed
old kernels.

Can't reproduce with Thinkpad X61 with i965GM, same generation as gm45.
So please try with the latest kernel that is available since late
yesterday.

Confirmed, I was able to reproduce this on a Latitude 13 (cantiga gfx
8086:2a42) with stock Ubuntu/Unity. Full screenshot attached.
Mousing over the tab caused the corruption to move around from letter to
letter. Was able to capture the corruption via a regular screen grab.
