Sorry, its probably just me, but I don't understand the nature of the bug you are reporting. It looks like you did a dist-upgrade and are concerned by the fact that kdebase (and other core kde packages) are automatically removed? Looks like aptitude removing what it thinks are unused packages

Aptitude actually removed a bunch of stuff that I manually re-installed in the line below where it says: "[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/var/run$ sudo apt-get install crystalcursors kdebase kappfinder" The potential issue here is that somehow aptitude's perception of the package cache was off somehow. I don
