Public bug reported: Trying to install 13.04, my keyboard input stopped working at the screen where you have to enter your personal information. It worked before and I do not see any reason why it stopped working.
Opening the onscreen keyboard, I noticed it also did not work. However, when I pressed the Capslock key on the actual keyboard the onscreen keyboard displayed the keystroke. It was also possible to switch to any other TTY using Atl-Ctrl-F*, and the keyboard would work there. Unfortuntaly the LiveCD does not work properly on my system, as no window borders etc are displayed, so I can not attach all details to this report. I will try to do so later, if required. --- ApportVersion: 2.6.1-0ubuntu9 Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.10 InstallCmdLine: initrd=/casper/initrd.lz file=/cdrom/preseed/ubuntu.seed boot=casper only-ubiquity quiet splash -- persistent BOOT_IMAGE=/casper/vmlinuz InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-01-06 (10 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.10 "Quantal Quetzal" - Release amd64 (20121017.5) MarkForUpload: True NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: ubiquity (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.5.0-21.32-generic 3.5.7.1 Tags: quantal running-unity ubiquity-2.12.16 Uname: Linux 3.5.0-21-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) UserGroups: adm cdrom dip lpadmin plugdev sambashare sudo ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-collected quantal running-unity ubiquity-2.12.16 ** Tags added: apport-collected quantal running-unity ubiquity-2.12.16 ** Description changed: Trying to install 13.04, my keyboard input stopped working at the screen where you have to enter your personal information.
