Public bug reported:

I have an Ubuntu Server 12.10 machine that is sharing directories via
NFS. A machine running OpenELEC can access those shares without any
problems. However, my Kubuntu 12.10 notebook cannot. Wifi is disabled,
and I am connected via wired Ethernet. I will attach output from the
mount command, relevant bits of dmesg, and the server's /etc/exports.

Also of note: Dolphin (KDE's file manager) has its own NFS client
implementation. It can list the directories in any directory that
contains only directories. Attempting to view any directory that
contains any files results in a generic error.
