Public bug reported: The "Status Messages" scroll box in the "Ink/Toner Levels" tab of the "Printer Properties" window of /usr/share/system-config-printer/system- config-printer.py appears squashed and truncated in Ubuntu 12.10. (See attached screen shot.)
To reproduce: 1) Launch system-config-printer 2) Add a networked printer. (IPP URI in the screen shot test case) 3) Induce printer to produce status message. (Connected to Windows standard server 2007 IPP print server in screen shot case; Windows supports partial IPP implementation which is logged an error in /var/log/cups/error_log. "Printer does not provide REQUIRED printer-state-reasons attribute." for example.) 4) Observe error message in "Status Messages" dialog box. ** Affects: system-config-printer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: cups gnome ** Attachment added: "Screenshot of Printer Properties, "Ink/Toner Levels" window" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1108860/+attachment/3505675/+files/screenshot.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1108860 Title: Printer status messages box squashed in 12.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/system-config-printer/+bug/1108860/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
