There's not really anything to be done here. The entries in the Attachment pane are application-specific settings that are meant to override desktop settings, and none of these are set by default (so Thunderbird always uses your desktop settings). This works as expected here. It's more than likely a local configuration issue. Could you please attach the mimeTypes.rdf file from your Thunderbird profile, and also your ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list. Please use Apport when submitting Mozilla bugs in future (see https://wiki.ubuntu.c
