Working now. Got help from bdmurray on #ubuntu-bugs. Not sure what
happened, but it had something to do with updating defoptions in
menu.1st

This bug report is being closed due to your last comment regarding this
being fixed with a configuration change. There was no resume option set
in your menu.lst file and subsequently the system was not resuming your
saved state. By updating your menu.lst file we were able to resolve
this issue.

Hi. I've just started running Ubuntu Feisty on my ThinkPad R51. I have
chosen that the laptop should hibernate when I close the lid, but when I
- re-open the lid, the screen lights up, but remains black and I am unable
