Binary package hint: evolution
On gutsy, that means evolution 2.11.1.1-0ubuntu1, when you quit
evolution with the view at Inbox, than it fails to start again.
More specific:
If :~/.evolution/mail/config/folder-tree-expand-state.xml has
<selected uri="mbox:/home/user/.evolution/mail/local#Inbox"/>
than you get
