Public bug reported:

After the regular update by update manager the syatem doesnot have any sound,
only a few crack sounds.
During update I was hearing music. But after the restart(after update) no sound
at all,
use of "ubuntu-bug -s audio" command and the following trouble shooting process
showed the messge " You Don't seem to have configured "PULSE Audio" to use the
card you want to output from....... ".
When I inspected the 'sound setting' the device automatically changed to
'hdmi', I changed it back to 'analog sterio output' but the sound is not
restored to normal after many restarts. This problem happened earlier also
while certain previous updates.
