As far as I know there are no plans to backport the newer version of
the x.org server to Ubuntu 13.04.
Then the correct solution would be to revert the commit causing this bad
regression or fix it in some other way for Raring.
Or - another idea - simply wait until Raring is not supported anymore
Brandon, it is good to know this bug is being worked on as it is really
annoying. +1 for that.
Will there be a fix for Raring also as this regressed there ?

As far as I know there are no plans to backport the newer version of the
x.org server to Ubuntu 13.04.

This should be fixed once we move to 1.14 xserver, which if anyone wants
to test out here is a ppa with all the changes included:

Brandon, I don't understand why you closed this though MC-Return
reported the bug has been back again.
I indeed experienced the problem, so Unity is useless on Raring with
multi-monitor.
