Public bug reported: I did try to search but did not find a duplicate of this bug for Ubuntu 12.04.2 x86 64-bit. This started after an update some time last week. I have a disk, using LUKS encryption, in my HP docking station connected via SATAII internal to the dock. Up until last week the behavior was as expected: * Click on the drive in nautilus * LUKS password is retreived from key ring, and drive is unlocked * Drive mounts so I can perform local backups
The behavior now is: * Click on the drive in nautilus * LUKS password is retreived from key ring, and drive is unlocked * root password is requested The last step obviously fails because the password is unknown to the user by default. I am not interested in "enabling" the root account with a user-known password. ** Affects: udisks (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1129077 Title: udisks asks for root password to mount sata drive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udisks/+bug/1129077/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
