Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnumeric

Gnumeric will not open smb:/URI's, although in it should support
GnomeVFS - is this normal?

When opening an smb file from nautilus, Gnumeric says:
"/home/andrew/smb:/....xls: no such file or directory"
When navigating in the Open File dialog box to a file on a samba share,
Gnumeric says:
"Invalid or non-supported URI."

This happens both with packages gnumeric and gnumeric-gtk in feisty.

** Affects: gnumeric (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
