Keep in mind, though, that if you want full selection-dragging support, you
still have to set ttymouse=xterm2 yourself; the best this patch can do is
protocol 1 xterm, until such a time that terminfo supplies a better means fo

Note that the debbug is marked as done. It should probably be reopened
if you are experiencing a problem and can show that it is screen's
fault.
HOWEVER: I've found that typing ":set ttymouse xterm" from within vim
fixes the issue, so it seems very likely that the problem does not
reside with scre
