Public bug reported:

After some recent linbindicator updates, the Unity panel / indicators
freeze when starting / quitting some indicators.  By "freeze" I mean you
can't click on the indicators (nothing happens). The freeze  lasts for
about 30-40 seconds or so after which the indicators work.

Examples of indicators causing this behaviour:

indicator-cpufreq  (available in the Raring repositories)
