Manual muting of Speaker and Headphone works even if Auto-mute is
enabled. I am satisfied with the current behavior.

I just found out that the there is a mixer called Auto-Mute Mode. If
that is set to disabled, Speaker control works, even if a plug is
inserted in the headphone jack. If Auto-Mute Mode is enabled, and a
plug is inserted, it mutes the speaker by other means than by muting the
Speaker channel in the

I am sorry, but I don't know, if it is a regression and I don't know how
you should take into account that headphone and speakers are using
different number.

the auto mute of Samsung NC10 was supported by this patch
so this should be a regression if automute is working when boot from any
live cd (11.04 or 11.10)
