Public bug reported: I'm using Feisty in an Dell Inpsiron 9400 laptop. After going from battery to AC, a "session idle" event is launched, but my session has never been idle, and no "session active" is triggered. This has been happening after the following update: (Synaptic's History)
** Upgraded the following packages: hal (0.5.8.1-4ubuntu12) to 0.5.9-1ubuntu2~feisty1 hal-device-manager (0.5.8.1-4ubuntu12) to 0.5.9-1ubuntu2~feisty1 libhal-storage1 (0.5.8.1-4ubuntu12) to 0.5.9-1ubuntu2~feisty1 libhal1 (0.5.8.1-4ubuntu12) to 0.5.9-1ubuntu2~feisty1 Installed the following packages: hal-info (20070402-1ubuntu1~feisty1) ** You can see a Power History graph at http://apollo.divshare.com/s03/files/2007/05/13/630592/Screenshot-Power_History.png Also, you can see that, while on battery power, there are a lot of idle/active events, but i was actively using my laptop all the time.
