Public bug reported: After unmounting an external USB storage (disk on key, MP3 player, etc.), USB power is still on, and any device LEDs are still lit. In M$ Windows, the power is turned off on unmount. This gives the user a better notification that he can unplug his device safely. I believe this is a better option as a default - a user would usually unmount a device when he is going to unplug it, and he would not need the power anymore.
Adding an option to cut the power on unplug will be great. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Add an option to turn USB power off on unmount USB Storage devices https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/114409 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
